Join us for Weeknight Ceramics on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30pm! Make slab cups and bowls, throw on the pottery wheel, or learn how to pinch clay into a large form. With clay, the possibilities are endless! In this class, students will work on projects that interest them and can ask the instructor for help and advice as needed. Instructors may give ideas for projects or avenues for learning, but there won’t be specific “assignments” given to the class as a whole. Please see below regarding changes we have made since class has reopened this year:
All students must register online before class, instead of actually “dropping in” and paying in cash, as we used to do.
Before registering for Weeknight Classes, students must have either taken our 2-week Beginning Ceramics course, or have already attended several drop-in ceramics classes prior to 2020.
The first two Tuesdays of each month will be devoted to Beginning Ceramics students. This means that Weeknight students shouldn’t expect in-depth instruction from the teacher because her time will be focused on teaching Beginning Ceramics students.
Glaze will no longer be purchased per piece; instead, we have increased the class fee by $2 per class to cover glaze costs.
Works-in-progress can be left at the studio, but students must bring home their bag of clay at the end of class. If the parking lot is full and you must park further away, you can always drop off your clay at the door and then park (if you don’t want to carry your clay a long way).
