Intro to Slab Building

In this class we’ll use clay slabs to build a variety of forms including cups, vases, and more! Students will learn how to prepare their clay, roll it into a slab, and attach the edges to build their desired shape. Building with slabs is a fun and simple way for anybody to work with clay, with just a little practice! After our pieces are finished and dry, we’ll glaze and fire them to be taken home - all of our glazes are food safe.
