This year we'll be hosting our first Volunteer Orientation meeting.  If you sign up for any slot, we encourage you to attend our volunteer orientation meeting on INFORMATION COMING SOON at the EAC.  We'll go over some of the basics of volunteering to ease the process of getting checked in and to help you better understand your volunteer duties.  It'll also be a great time to ask any questions you may have!  See you there!

FAQs

How old do I have to be to volunteer?

We don’t specify an age minimum or maximum. However, children under 14 should be accompanied by a parent.

What kind of jobs are there?

We have a wide range of jobs we need our volunteers to do! Jobs range from more physically demanding jobs like Hospitality, where you will walk around the park bringing coolers full of water or food to the artists, to the Children’s Art Gallery, where you will man the entrance to the Children’s Art Gallery doors and help sell tickets. There are descriptions of each job on the sign up page.

How long are shifts?

Most shifts are between 3-5 hours long.

Are the jobs physically demanding?

Some are, some aren’t. Jobs such as Artist Helpers, Barrier Guards, Hospitality, and Break Down will be more physically demanding. Jobs such as Retail, Welcome Center, Information Booth and Children’s Art Gallery will be mainly sitting jobs.

Can I sign up for more than one shift?

Absolutely! You can sign up for as many shifts as you’d like.

Do I need to bring anything?

Nope! But each volunteer will get a FREE volunteer t-shirt to wear and keep. We recommend wearing a light tank to put your t-shirt over, or being prepared to change into your volunteer shirt in the indoor bathrooms underneath the main stage.

Where should I park?

You can park at any public parking location close to the Edwardsville Art Fair. This could include the Kansas St. parking lot behind Dewey’s, in the courthouse parking lot, in the lots behind Cleveland Heath, wherever you can find public street parking, and anything other public lot.
