FREE Saturday Kid's Art Class, April 13th
Join us to create your banner for our “Movement” Banner Contest, hosted with the City of Edwardsville! Below is the description of the theme - be sure to have a chat with your kiddo ahead of class to think about what kinds of things they see around town that encompass the “movement” theme locally. Kid’s can use any 2D medium they wish to express their idea - crayons, markers, paint, collage, etc. After you’re all done, leave your artwork at the EAC to submit it for the Banner Contest! 16 winners will be chosen to have their banner printed and hung around downtown Edwardsville - notifications will go out on May 15th (and you can pick up your original artwork after that date).
Theme Description: “Think about the idea of “Movement” within your town or neighborhood when making your artwork. What kind of movement do you see when you venture out? Do you see people walking, biking, driving? Do you see birds flying, kids playing, trucks working? Use any drawing, painting, or digital media to show us your interpretation of movement in our community!”
